Cervical cancer awareness 'is Jade's legacy'

The rise in the number of women undergoing cervical cancer tests is Jade Goody's main legacy, tributes have claimed.
Prime minister Gordon Brown was among those paying respect after Jade's death yesterday, claiming her ordeal has encouraged many women to visit healthcare facilities.
"Her family can be extremely proud of the work she has done to raise awareness of cervical cancer, which will benefit thousands of women across the UK," he comments.
The prime minister also praised Jade's courage in life and death, adding that the whole country has admired her determination in providing a bright future for her children.
Healthcare specialists at Lewisham Hospital reports that tests for cervical cancer increased by over 20 per cent in the month after the reality TV star was diagnosed with the disease.
Cancer Research UK statistics reveal almost 1,000 women a year die from the disease, highlighting the need for effective health insurance.
