Gabby and Linda become ironwomen for breast cancer race

Gabby Logan raised money for breast cancer

TV presenters Gabby Logan and Linda Barker have competed in an ironman race in order to raise money for a breast cancer charity.

The duo joined hundreds of fundraisers Timex Woman Only Triathlon at Eton Rowing Centre on Saturday (July 4th), an event which required participants to swim, run and cycle to the finish line.

Gabby Logan, who used to be a Commonwealth gymnast and is married to former Scotland rugby union player Kenny, helped to collectively raise over £50,000 for Breast Cancer care.

"A breast cancer charity asked me if I would be involved in some way, so I looked through all of the different categories," she told the BBC.

Interior designer Linda Barker also underwent a gruelling training regimen in order to prepare for the event, which comprised of a 200m swim, a 5km bike ride and 2.5km run.

The former Changing Rooms star completed the course in just over 30 minutes, which may interest those with breast cancer insurance.
